Sauteed spinach is a breeze and goes with almost anything, from grilled chicken or seafood to pasta dishes, pizza and more. Here's how to cook it so it doesn't get too watery, slimy or bitter.
Ingredients
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons white wine or chicken broth
- 2 packages (9 ounces each) fresh spinach
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Directions
- In a large skillet, saute the garlic in oil for 1 minute. Add wine; cook until liquid is reduced by half.
- Add spinach, salt and pepper; cook and stir for 2 minutes or just until spinach is wilted. Serve with a slotted spoon.
