Homemade Pancake Syrup

If you don't have maple syrup in the house and you must have pancakes, homemade pancake syrup with brown sugar and maple flavoring will more than do the trick.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon maple flavoring

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the sugars and water. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in maple flavoring. Refrigerate leftovers.
