When you feel a cold coming on, make a hot toddy recipe to help alleviate some of the symptoms. Whether it's an old wives' tale or not, it sure will taste delicious and soothing.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 ounces whiskey
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick (3 inches)
  • 1 orange slice

Directions

  1. Pour honey into a tall glass or large mug. Add boiling water; stir until honey is dissolved. Stir in whiskey and lemon juice; add cinnamon stick and garnish with orange slice.
