Haluski, or buttery cabbage and noodles, is comfort food at its best. This simple and delicious dish is fabulous on its own or as a side dish.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 medium head cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups uncooked wide egg noodles
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add cabbage; cover and cook on low until tender, about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain. Stir into skillet. Add salt and pepper; heat through.
