Ground Chicken Burgers

These ground chicken burgers are bursting with flavor thanks to the spices in these patties. They are begging to be enhanced by your favorite burger toppings.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns, split
  • Optional toppings: Sliced tomatoes, lettuce leaves, sliced avocado, sliced red onion, mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Add chicken; mix lightly but thoroughly. Shape into four 1/2-in.-thick patties.
  2. In a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray, cook over medium heat until a thermometer reads 165°, 5-7 minutes on each side. Serve on buns with toppings as desired.
