Making gluten-free bechamel might sound intimidating, but the process is actually quite simple. (And it's a breeze if you've made the traditional recipe.)
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons gluten-free baking flour (with xanthan gum)
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- Dash white pepper
- 1-1/2 cups 2% milk
Directions
- In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually whisk in milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, 1-2 minutes.
