Here's a great way to prepare mushrooms. I'll serve them as a side dish, an appetizer on their own, as part of an antipasto platter or add them to salads for a tangy flavor. —Brenda Snyder, Hesston, Pennsylvania

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh mushrooms
  • 1 envelope (0.7 ounce) Italian salad dressing mix
  • 1 cup water

  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons crushed red pepper flakes
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
