Have 10 minutes to spare? That's all you need to whip up this easy salsa recipe. Zesty, fresh and with just the right amount of heat, this salsa puts store-bought versions to shame.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 small onion, quartered
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 jalapeno pepper, halved and seeded
  • 2 cans (14.5 ounces) fire-roasted diced tomatoes, drained
  • 3 tablespoons fresh cilantro leaves
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Directions

  1. Place onion, garlic and jalapeno in a high-powered blender or food processor; process until finely chopped. Add remaining ingredients; pulse until desired consistency is achieved.
