This red sangria recipe makes a whole pitcher of fruity wine punch to share with friends on a hot summer day. Making it at least an hour ahead of time lets the fruit and wine mingle before your guests arrive.
Ingredients
- 1 bottle (750 milliliters) merlot
- 1 cup orange liqueur
- 1/2 cup brandy
- 1/2 cup sugar, optional
- 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
- 1 medium orange, sliced
- 1 medium apple, sliced
- Ice cubes
Directions
- In a pitcher, stir the first 3 ingredients. If desired, add sugar and stir until dissolved. Stir in fruit. Serve over ice.
