Ingredients
- 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar or granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE:
- 2 ounces brewed espresso
- 1 cup warm whole milk
- Whipped cream and ground nutmeg, as garnish
Directions
- To make pumpkin sauce, place canned pumpkin, brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice in a large saucepan over low heat. Cook until sugar is dissolved, 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Let cool slightly. Place mixture in a high-speed blender; puree until smooth.
- Place 1/4 cup pumpkin sauce into a mug (refrigerate remaining sauce for another use), pour espresso over top; stir to combine. Using a milk frother, froth milk until fluffy; pour over espresso mixture. If desired, top with whipped cream and nutmeg.
