Chili will always be a crowdpleaser at family get togethers and holiday events, but this version is for when there’s just the two of you to feed. It’s low on prep-work but filling, flavorsome and quick to make.
Ingredients
- 1/4 pound ground beef
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 can (16 ounces) chili beans, undrained
- 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- Optional: Sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and chopped cilantro
Directions
- In a large saucepan, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Drain. Stir in beans, tomatoes and spices; bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat; cover and simmer until heated through, 10-15 minutes. If desired, top with sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese and chopped cilantro.
