Ingredients
- 4 cups self-rising flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups 2% milk
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450°. In a large bowl, combine self-rising flour and sugar; stir in milk just until moistened. Pour half the butter into a 9x9-in. baking dish. Spoon batter into dish. Gently spread batter evenly in dish using a spatula. Score top of batter into 9 pieces. Drizzle with remaining 1/4 cup butter.
- Bake until lightly browned, 20-25 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes before cutting into 9 pieces. Serve warm.
