Self-rising flour- More than 1 cup

As a substitute for each cup of self-rising flour, place 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a measuring cup. Add all-purpose flour to measure 1 cup.

Apple Snack Squares

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup canola oil
  • 2-1/2 cups self-rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 cups diced peeled tart apples
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 cup butterscotch chips

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine sugar, eggs and oil. Stir in flour and cinnamon (batter will be thick). Stir in apples and nuts. Spread into greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Sprinkle with chips.
  2. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool before cutting.
