This recipe for homemade amaretto liqueur is just what your bar cart needed!
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 cups vodka
- 1 tablespoon almond extract
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions
- In a small saucepan bring sugar, water and brown sugar to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Cool completely. Transfer to a 1-qt. glass jar. Add remaining ingredients; shake well. Cover and let stand for 1-3 days to allow flavors to blend.
- Pour into glass bottles; seal tightly. Store in a cool, dry place for up to 2 months.
