My favorite way to spend a Saturday? Scouring estate sales. I love hunting for vintage Christmas decor, quirky collectibles (hello, porch goose!), artwork and garden tools—all at a discount.
Like any thrifter, I have a few “holy grail” finds I hope to snag someday. At the top of my list is the Lenox Spice Village Set. This collection of adorable house-shaped spice jars, quaintly nestled on a rack, is the epitome of #cottagecore decor.
Thanks to a recent revival, I don’t need to keep hunting. The brand is bringing back the iconic Spice Village in 2024! Here’s what we know.
First introduced in 1989, the Lenox Spice Village was a monthly subscription series. First, you received the rack. Then, each month thereafter, a little 3-inch porcelain house for storing spices like dill, rosemary, oregano and nutmeg. Each of the 24 spice houses is decorated in pastel hues and features botanical accents.
As the collection grew in popularity, Lenox also released larger storage canisters, salt and pepper shakers and even dinnerware. The series waned and was officially discontinued in the early ’90s.
In recent years, the collection has seen a resurgence on social media in kitschy “grand millennial” design circles. They’ve become so popular that complete sets are selling for thousands of dollars on secondhand sites. And Lenox took notice.
The 2024 version of the Spice Village is very similar to the original. Each of the 24 houses is hand-painted with sweet pastels and looks straight out of a fairytale. Plus, there’s no chance of mistaking cinnamon for cloves because each house is a little different.
Bring #cottagecore kitchen dreams to life with this quaint 24-piece spice house set.
The brand teased an announcement on its social media channels in early August—and it’s finally here! The 2024 Lenox Spice Village features 24 pastel-hued jars for the following spices:
Plus, these little houses are inflation-proof. They’ll be sold at the same price as the originals. One spice house will cost $15, or you can opt for one of four 6-piece sets for $72 or a full 24-piece set for $285.

“We are so thrilled to announce the relaunch of our iconic Spice Village collection, which has been discontinued for nearly 35 years,” Jennifer DiBenedetti, Vice President of Marketing, told us via email. “The resurgence of nostalgic decor, which originally made Spice Village a social media sensation, has created the perfect moment to reintroduce this highly sought-after collectible. We can’t wait for both longtime fans and new admirers to experience the magic and joy it brings once again!”
In October, Lenox announced that the coveted Spice Village rack is also making a return—and it’s getting a glow-up. Launching in the spring of 2025, this new piece strays from the house-shaped rack that came with the vintage set. From what we can see, the modern version is white with adorable painted pink and green floral details. It’s exclusive to the Lenox website and will retail for $35.

Honestly? However much secondhand buyers are willing to pay! Even with the new launch, prices for the original set haven’t budged. A full set, including the rack, goes for anywhere between $800 and $2,000. Individual pieces cost less, averaging around $100 for just the rack to $70 per individual jar. Each price is, of course, set by the secondary seller, so prices might be higher or lower depending on where you shop.
Yes! In a FAQ email sent to email subscribers, Lenox confirmed the revival of other iconic pieces. Only time will tell exactly what pieces are coming back or if there will be any new additions. I’m crossing my fingers for the return of the salt and pepper set, storage canisters and ketchup house.
It depends on when you ordered it. The new Spice Village was released in waves, with estimated arrivals ranging from fall 2024 to September 2025. From personal experience, I can confirm that my arrival date was bumped up. It was May 2025 at checkout, and Lenox confirmed March 2025 in a later “order updates” email. If you need to update your address before it arrives, Lenox suggests reaching out to customer service.
Pastel colors and hand-painted details make the Lenox Spice Village a collector's dream.
As of press time, pre-orders for the new Lenox Spice Village are closed. We hope to see a restock soon!
While you’re waiting, keep an eye on the secondary resale market. It costs a pretty penny, but you can find vintage Spice Villages on Etsy, Ebay or Facebook Marketplace.
